Well priced for the importance of the part. A little inconvenience in screw placement.

        how do i install a map sensor in a 1995 dodge ram 1500 4x4
Asked on 1/8/2014 by scrapper from wellsville, pa.

I'm happy to help! Your MAP sensor is located in the front of the throttle body on the 1995 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4. I would recommend a repair manual for specific instructions for your vehicle for replacement of the MAP sensor, Haynes Part No. 30041. This will also help you with many other repairs you may do on your truck. I also found a link of how to do this job on a 1998 Dakota with the 5.2L which should be a similar job. This video is use at your own risk:

In a 1994 Dodge Ram 2500 318 truck the MAP Sensor (BWD MAP Sensor - Part No. EC1629P) is usually located on the intake manifold, on the front of the top of the engine. • Q:

        what does this sensor do
Asked on 9/14/2010 by joe from greenwood in

        1 answer

The manifold absolute pressure sensor provides instantaneous manifold pressure information to the engine's electronic control unit (ECU). The data is used to calculate air density and determine the engine's air mass flow rate, which in turn determines the required fuel metering for optimum combustion.
