Q:where does it go?
A:It is under the center intake manifold.
Q:I have a 2002 Ford Escort with a 2.0L. SOHC engine. My scanner shows that at idle the ignition timing is running at 24 degrees BTDC. I checked the cam belt timing marks and they are correct. I replaced the spark plugs and wires. I checked for vacuum leaks. It idles rough and there is quite a bit of knock in the engine. Above idle it smoothes out a great deal. I think it might be the knock sensor but the service manager at the local Ford dealership said he has never seen one go bad. Thanks, Jeff
A:With out the presence of your vehicle we would not be able to properly diagnose it nor provide you with a 100% answer. We would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not solve or be the problem.
