My fan was only working on HIGH but now does not blow at all, could this part be one of the problms ?
Asked on 7/30/2013 by Bill from Chicago, IL

      1 answer

With reference to your inquiry on the BWD HVAC Blower Motor Resistor - Part No. RU815, if a blower motor resister is bad the fan won't work at all or will only work on certain speeds. We would recommended you to replace the resister if it failure. However, without the presence of your vehicle we would not be able to properly diagnose it nor provide you with a 100% answer. We would suggest that you take your vehicle to a certified mechanic for further diagnosis. For any further assistance, please feel free to call us at: 1-877-238-2623 or visit the nearest Advance Auto Parts store and one of our Parts Pros will gladly assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.

I believe you access it from the passenger firewall near the point where the heater hoses pass through. If you run the blower you can hear it behing the cover. How do you know if it needs replacemnt is my question?
