Comments about CARQUEST by BWD Blower Motor Resistor:

I installed this today on my 03 Envoy. I was weary about removing the glove box and how much work I was going to get into. But, it was very easy. 2 screws take the cover off under the box. Pop off the connector to the resistor itself. You can reach the second connector from under the dash (without removing the glove box). Slip it under the rubber band to remove it, then 2 screws to remove the resistor. The only problem was that upon installation of the new resistor I realized that I had to put it in backwards for the screw holes to match up. I thought that was very weird. Anyway everything plugged in and screwed together perfect after that. All speeds now work. The wife is happy (and so am I)!! I could change it out again in 10 minutes flat!

this was a direct replacement for the factory blower resistor. make sure to check the connection as well as usually it is melted into the resistor pack and will need to be replaced.

In my Trailbazer, removing the glove box made access much easier to see what was going on.

I replaced the blower motor resistor on my 2005 Chevy Trailblazer. #4 on my blower speed dial wasn't working. I replaced the first one and everything worked fine, #4 started working again, then the next day, it blew. I went through three of them in the matter of a week. I took my car in to a shop and they didn't find anything wrong with the system other than the blown resistor pack. What the heck people. I expect more from Advance. This is junk. Don't buy it.

                    Hello,

I have a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer LT (4WD/6 cyl). I have read a lot about ATC and manual temp. control. I'm not sure what that means. My vehicle does have 5 speeds on the blower, and dual climate control in the front. Will this item work?

                    Thanks!
