Exactly the same size as the original making it easy to slide back through the tight spot it came out of on my 2000 Chrysler Town & Country. The hardest part was disconecting the wiring which was Chryslers flaw.

This Part was bought by me online. it was the first time that I have ever used the online service. I found the online parts service to be Quick and easy to use. all I had to do was fire up the computer and go to Advance auto parts web site and enter the informatiom about the car that I was wanting to buy parts for. then enter the part that I needed to buy, The site brought up a few parts with a few choice's as far as voltige & other options. I just picked the part that I wanted and then I payed on line then went to my local Advanced store and picked up my parts. It was quick and easy.

This part didn't last two months. It seems that every part I've been getting from Advance Auto has been defective.

The alternator was not too hard to install but it is in the back on a transverse mounted engine.

Comments about CARQUEST Alternator - Remanufactured - 90 Amps:

I was told at first that my old alternator was good when they tested at store. Sometimes they will cut in and out. So be aware that this can happen. Once I installed the new one everything ran perfect. Best way to check old one is to check output with volt tester while engine is running.

Hi George! Since you didn't mention the specific vehicle, it's hard to tell for sure. To give you the correct information I would need the year, make, model and engine size of the vehicle.

After speaking to my local store I was advised that the case size determines what size alternator I will need for this Van, how can I determine that without removing it first.
