Comments about CARQUEST Alternator - Remanufactured - 90 Amps:

The brushes on my old alternator gave out after 225k miles, so I needed a new one.
Went to install it the first time. The round connector plug wouldnt go in all the way because of the metal shield in the back. Was able to move the metal it by loosening screws and repositioning it.
But the worst problem came AFTER that - got alternator installed in that tight spot again but pivot bolt would NOT tighten. Had to pull the alternator out AGAIN. The threads in alternator were stripped! Drilled, tapped, and installed M10x1.50 helicoil. Tightened fine after that but threads should be checked as part of the rebuild. This is NOT something a normal do-it-yourselfer should have to do. But it was late at night and I needed my car the next morning - I should have returned it!

(97 stratus) fit tight, not fault of part, but able to install without disconnecting any hoses. Must remove plastic protective guard.

                A:

Hi Chris, glad to assist you! This part comes with a limited lifetime replacement warranty. The limited lifetime warranty part can be refunded for cash/credit within the 90 days time frame. After that time expires, it can only be exchanged for a new item. So the warranty is valid for the life of the part as long as the customer owns the vehicle.

For help with your project, I recommend purchasing a repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further into detail on how to repair or replace specific parts.
