Comments about CARQUEST Alternator - Remanufactured - 80 Amps:

I have still noticed some of the same performance issues with the purchased product. The product still kind of wants to cause the vehicle to want to stall. That may be unrelated, but I have noticed that as one of the continued problems with the vehicle.

    • Q:

why will it overheat if your battery isnt fully charged?
      Asked on 5/9/2012 by Anonymous

      1 answer

The coolant in your vehicle is responsible for removing excess heat from the engine compartment so that other components under the hood, such as the battery, can function properly. If the coolant or water is not circulated properly throughout the system, this can cause the car battery to overheat. The lack of air flow to the radiator can also be the problem. Leakages can cause the car's battery to overheat because the system is not being cooled and lubricated properly. Checking for oil, water or coolant droplets on the car's engine parts and on the ground beneath the car will show you if potential leaks.
