While the alternator fit perfectly, the main cable to the Bat 1 terminal would not fit without modification.

Comments about CARQUEST Alternator - Remanufactured - 120 Amps:

As another user points out, for the Chrysler Crossfire, this requires keeping the original rear plastic covers. In my case, the pulley was also incorrect for the SRT6 model. While that's not a huge issue to change, the product is not an 'exact fit' without at least 2 modifications, at least for the Chrylser Crossfire SRT6.

Comments about CARQUEST Alternator - Remanufactured - 120 Amps:

I bought this as a replacement for the failing alternator in my 2004 Chrysler Crossfire. To my surprise, the plastic mounting plate on the back of this part was different than the original (note -- the one pictured here, with the Mercedes logo, is correct). This was annoying as I had traded mine in as a core (to avoid the core fee) and later discovered the electrical connections would not fit.

Admittedly, I should have examined the replacement part more closely. I was, however, more concerned about matching the pulley than I was in examining the back of the part. I did, however, waste a lot of time trying the get the unusual connector to line up with the notches in the back of the replacement. There is not much room to work under the hood and there is no slack in the wires. I figured it out after I compared the one I actually got to the one in the picture.

Fortunately, I was able to go back to the store and swap out the plastic rear covers. Once I made the swap the installation was simple. Moreover, the replacement alternator works great (and runs quiet). It also carries a lifetime replacement warranty!

People that do a lot of their own automotive repairs may say this was my fault and the result of my inattention to detail. To some extent -- I agree. So, I offer the following advice: Learn from my mistake -- (1) look at the back of your alternator and compare it to the back of the replacement and (2) return the core only after the job is completed.
