I bought the product to replace my alternator that went after owning the car a year, and what appeared to be the original alternator from all the junk that was on it. Shortly after I bought this and replaced the original returned for the core charge, no problems.

Two months down the road my car begins to have these issues where it would go into a limp mode on the transmission and I would turn it off and it would be a no start condition. Turns out alternator took a dump, bad bearing after two months. Which didn't bother me that much, but it still sucked.

Anyway, I continued to replace that one with a "ToughOne" which wasn't the brand of the one I had gotten before. I put it in, no problems takes around 2.5 hours to do, which is still quite a bit of labor. One week down the road, same issue happens. Now I'll be going in for my third or possibly a different brand if there is any.

Notes: The car has a new battery that I replaced because I was told that it was junk after I replaced it with their first alternator. The belt is new and replaced after I replaced the alternator with their part as well. Grounds are all clean and nothing should be causing it that way. Terminals are cleaned. Belt is proper tension.

Can not rate. I will also add that I stopped purchasing at Advance previously for this same reason and location. Staff advising that something is needed when it's not. Taking advantage of a woman.

Alternator was a replacement for part that was worn out. It was a duplicate of my old part. This part was a great fit for my car.The Amp was correct for the car to which it was installed.Installing a alternator on this car is not for the average.

lasted two weeks before bearing went . Still working but its only time before it leaves me with a 125 tow bill . It's a 1 1/2 job pulling it out of a 02 maxima . lucky its under warranty . Just wait for nice weather to pull .

For help with your project, I recommend purchasing a repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further into detail on how to repair or replace specific parts.
