i purchased this product online Thanksgiving morning when my alternator failed the night before. to my surprise, locating the alternator with the exact fit and checking out was as simple as could be. I also qualified for $50.00 when I entered the discount code NVXX. I havent yet received my $50.00 credit toward a future purchase but I do plan to use it for brake calipers when it comes in.

The altenator fit the 2000 Nissan Maxima. Very next day, the battery and brake lights were blinking when the engine speed reach 3500 RPM. Lights would stay off until you accelerated to merge with traffic and would stay on all the time above 3500 RPM. Painful to replace because it's on the bottom of the engine over the top of the air conditioner. When I took the car to Advance for checkout, they left it the car in park and pressed the gas to 6000 RPM for 1 minute with battery light on the whole time. Stupid test, I've never seen the engine at 6000 RPM. I replaced the alternator with a Denso and problem is gone. If you enjoy replacing parts twice on your car, then buy this horrible alternator on the 1st replacement. You'll get to replace it again within a week or two!

00 maxima se, its bin 2 months since instal and its running strong! I drive my car every day! 40 min trips both ways. I had them check the rebuilt alternator at store just to be safe since others had a bad experience. Alternator does come out threw bottom with compressor out of the way. This was also an OEM rebuild, at least thats what i got. 5star for me will be if it goes for the long haul! This unit is doing what its suppose to do for me. ( max is running strong again)

Comments about CARQUEST Alternator - Remanufactured - 110 Amps:

I took the advice of other revues and had this tested before I left the store. It tested to specs, so I felt confident it would do the job. The job of replacing the alternator required disconnecting the negetive battery cable, removing the fan shroud, loosing the belt tensioner, removing the belt, and dropping down the air condition compressor by removing the four mounting bolts, in order to get the old one out. It was a bigger job than I expected. I had the battery tested to make sure it was ok as well. The alternator is charging as it should. I don't know how long I should expect it to keep performing. But with the age of the car, if we get a couple of year out of it, it should last the remaining life of the car.

I bought it and had my mechanic install it. I also changed the belt, it increased the power which was awesome. Using the windows before was sluggish, but now it's quick.

No brainer, By that I mean I got this thing for around $70 after a coupon code and it has lifetime warranty. Its not difficult to remove or reinstall so it won't be a hassle. But by the looks of this thing its a re-manufactured Nissan alternator. It's quiet and efficient as the old one i replaced that failed on me. Everything was included in the install.

Comments about CARQUEST Alternator - Remanufactured - 110 Amps:

This alternator is a piece of junk. If you like changing parts more than once, this is definitely the part for you. You will get to replace this alternator with another one shortly after installation. Put this one on my car and the very next day, the battery light was coming when the engine was up to 3500 rpm. After a week of the problem, I replace it with the Denso model and everything is great. I loved removing the air conditioner, idler pulling, front passenger tire, and etc to replace the alternator twice. Keeps me in shape!!
