Comments about CARQUEST Alternator - New - 105 Amps:

This was the perfect replacement part for my '97 Firebird. It took me less than 10 minutes to install the new part and it resolved all the electrical issues I was having such as dim headlights, car dying on me, erratic gauges reading, etc., and etc. Good price too!

Comments about CARQUEST Alternator - New - 105 Amps:

i bought this alternator with limited lifetime replacement and they only last about 20,000 miles before the shaft bearings go out. I would take this off the market for false advertisement. Each one i got lasted exactly the same amount of time. I would go with oem because the original one lasted for 150,000

            A:

The bolt which is used in the top of the alternator to the engine bracket is 1" in size. You can use a 10.9 grade or higher.

        • Q:

This is a general question. Advance used to offer an option that would tell me what other applications that this part would fit. Is this still available? I used to own a salvage yard, while I'm retired I sometimes will need to know what other cars a part will fit on Help! I used advance more when that application was available - The store is about 4 miles farther away but it was worth it. Please help a tired semi-old fellow! Thanks, Bubba The Giant

At this time, that option is not available, but it is being looked at to be added again.
