Comments about Cardone Service Plus Power Steering Filter:

Can't determine long term benefit. I suspect removal will be a challenge, likely need to cut hose's off and reinstall with new. But, if it keeps steering rack from failing this will be simple maintenance item.

  • Q:

I have a 1999 Chevy Express 3500,5.7 liter vortec. There is a 5/8 hose from reservoir to pump and a 3/8 hose from reservoir to brake master/booster. Which hose do I put a filter in?
Asked on 6/7/2016 by Tim from New Castle VA

    1 answer

I'm happy to help, Tim! You should install the filter in the return hoes, from the reservoir to the pump. Do not install it in a pressure hose.

It doesn't matter what make - just if it is designed for the power or return!
What pressure is it rated up to?
I suspect, from the clips supplied it is the return line
