About Me Mechanic

Comments about Cardone Power Steering Pump without Reservoir - Remanufactured:

Bought one of these pumps lasted 14 months. Replaced it 3 more times in the next 3 months. second replacement lasted 1 month then began whining, 3rd pump intermittently whined from day 1, 4th pump whined right out of the box and hasn't quit. Each change out was done correctly with flushing and examination for debris in old fluid, none was found. Remanufacture - Duralast doesn't have a clue!

This is my third pump. Two installed by me, one installed by mechanic. Air purge all done properly. Will not stop whining! Low idle, high idle, doesn't matter.

Not as powerful as the orginal pump at low RPM. I have power steering and shouldn't need to help the pump when I'm trying to park. Failed after a month...time to go back and get another one.

Not hard.. Rent the pulley pully puller and installer. Go to youtube, watch a video or two. They do a nice job. You won't have any probmlems if you have done work before.
