Comments about Cardone Power Steering Pump with Reservoir - Remanufactured:

Advance Auto had a great price and the usual friendly service. That is where the good ended. The new pump installed without issue but 15 miles later, started leaking from the front seal causing the belt to come off. Necessitated a tow back to the house as the belt was ruined from the oil soak and the engine's water pump runs on the same belt....deadlines the vehicle Pulley was installed with a Chrysler Miller factory tool and installed per Section 19 of the factory manual. Simply no excuse for the pump to fail unless the remanufacturer is not inspecting the units and simply throwing parts together. Hopefully the replacement unit will fare better.

Comments about Cardone Power Steering Pump with Reservoir - Remanufactured:

Rebuilt pump had bad theaded hole for mounting stud that must be removed from orignal pump and installed on new pump.

Recomend AAP suggest to customer taking pully puller when selling rebuilt pump. Also possibly offering the belt tension tool.

Please check diameter of replacement pully. There was some problem with that also.

It depends upon the skill level of the person performing the operation. For installation, I would recommend purchasing a repair manual.
