I don't know why remanufactured parts are so hit and miss now, the 1st one I installed lasted 20 miles before failing. The pump itself installed easily and with no issues.

Came with O ring for pressure line. Used a puller/installer for pulley which is a must since you don't want to hammer the pulley back on and possibly destroy the new pump. Use your old reservoir cap.

Had a bad whine in it even after a proper installation. It is not a good product by any means.

Comments about Cardone Power Steering Pump with Reservoir - Remanufactured:

I was a bit nervous about taking on this project, but was able to get encouragement and advice from then Advance Auto guys. I asked them to set me up with everything I needed to get it done in a single trip, I came home with the exact parts, fluid, and even a loaned pulley remover. The hardest part was figuring out how to get the pump out of the engine compartment...because I didn't dare to pull the pulley first. I would recommend to pull the pulley before unbolting the pump. Anyone with a good wrench and socket set should be able to handle this project. The part works with no problems, and the car is nice and quiet under the hood.

Comments about Cardone Power Steering Pump with Reservoir - Remanufactured:

Make sure to have store employee remove pulley from old pump. It does not take a lot to tap the pulley on to the new pump. Make sure to note the location of the pulley on the old pump so you can put the pulley in the same place on the shaft of the new pump. This will allow the belt to run true. New o rings for steering box line are included. Save old fill cap because new pump does not come with one. May be a little noisy till the fluid cycles thru the pump. After two weeks the pump is working fine with no noise

                    A:

When you replace the Power steering pump you should also change the filter, its built into the reservoir housing so you just replace the whole thing along with belts and fluid. It is recommended to replace the old plugs and coil packs too.
