Q:ordered this for my 2000 ford focus. everything fits except the power steering pressure switch. The orig hole is not as deep as the replacement. Therefore the orig switch's shoulder is not deep enough to start the threads.
A:With reference to this Fenco Power Steering Pump - part# SP16412, the power steering pressure switch is threaded onto the high pressure hose that runs from the pump to the steering rack and pinion gear. There are two hoses connected to the pump. Follow the high pressure line until you come to the switch, unthread it and a little thread seal might be a good idea. Install the new one.
