Comments about Cardone Remanufactured Brake Master Cylinder:

Got rebuild, bench bled it per instructions, installed it and wasted 3 hours until we finely decided to try another one. They had it in stock. took 1/2 hour to bench bleed it and get the brakes working. Should have listened to other posts and passed on this for a new one. Not worth the time and wasted brake fluid. I gave it a 2 because second one works fine.

Comments about Cardone Remanufactured Brake Master Cylinder:

Very important to bench bleed before installing. It took three masters before I found one that would bleed from the front brake reservoir at all (on bench, not in vehicle), and that one only bled slowly by gravity, not by pumping the cylinder. Once bled however it installs quickly with no fitment issues and functions well. I recommend it only because it's the only brand Advance carries and their service policy allows me to test and return as many as necessary to find a good one.

Comments about Cardone Remanufactured Brake Master Cylinder:

Turned in core at time of purchase, bench bled new cylinder, and installed on booster.
The rear brake line fitting didn't fit, too small.
Returned to store and they brought out another cylinder but it was the same. They didn't have an adapter to fit the brake line and cylinder either.
Also, I wasted a half quart of brake fluid but they just shrugged that off.
This is the second cylinder that I've installed on this truck in the twenty years of ownership.
Bottom line is that this master cylinder is not a drop in replacement.

Will have to wait till tomorrow to go a real parts house.

                    A:

You most likely could but it would be best to bench bleed it first and then install.
