Will I be able to install this on my truck without any special tools? Consider me a novice mechanic.
The headlights on my Dakota flicker on and off after 15 mins of night driving. Will this computer solve the problem?

The first thing to check with a headlight flicker is a loose wire(check every inch of the main power lines first). And there is a possiblity of bad ground. A weak ground can have an effect, either loose or damaged. If your wiring is good then you can check and replace your Engine computer.
