Comments about Cardone Camshaft Synchronizer - Domestic Reman:

Item is remanufactured and it appears that no attention is paid to the overall sensor body. The sensor would not fit in the opening of the engine. The lower body of the sensor was out-of-round which would not allow it to pass through the opening in the intake manifold. I returned the item [...].

Can you tell me where the Camshaft Synchronizer is located on my 2004 Ford Taurus V-6 3.0-VIN U?

          A:

The Camshaft Synchronizer on your 2004 Ford Taurus should be located in the back of intake manifold under injector /engine harness. The assembly is like a distributor and can not be put in in any way, you will need a alignment tool to make sure engine is at TDC and synchronizer is in synchronization with cam.

Will this cause no fuel presure too? And no spark?

        • CUSTOMER CARE

          A:

A bad crank angle sensor can worsen the way the engine idles, the pistons fire, or the acceleration behavior. If the engine is revved up with a bad or faulty sensor, it may cause misfiring, motor vibration or backfires. Accelerating might be hesitant, and abnormal shaking during engine idle might occur. In the worst case the car may not start.
