                        Does it matter which side of this solenoid tube connects the canister and which goes to the intake? The tube is offset but theres no arrow or anything and I didn't have an existing one to reference.

                          A:

                          The Canister Purge Solenoid in a 1999 Ford Mustang V6 is mounted in the front passenger side wheel-well, under the large protective plastic above the tire. The system is connected to the intake manifold on the passenger side just on the engine side of the throttle body. The service port is on the passenger side next to the A/C condenser.

                          The canister purge solenoid is located under the plastic fender liner on the passenger side on your 2002 Ford Mustang. You can smell fuel outside the car after driving it.
