Sorry, Cas. Without the presence of your vehicle we would not be able to properly diagnose it, nor provide you with a 100% answer. I would suggest that you take your vehicle and get it thoroughly checked by a certified mechanic before buying any parts that may/may not solve the problem.

Yes, it should be a problem with the Transmission control solenoid. One possible sign of a bad transmission solenoid is when your vehicle has trouble shifting into drive or reverse. Normally, when you start your car or truck, you're able to shift into drive or reverse right away. With a bad transmission solenoid, the vehicle could have a delay of a few seconds, or even take several minutes to warm up and operate properly.

The problem seems to be with the transmission control solenoid on your C3500. However, I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.

this shifts from drive to overdrive.. but usually if this is giving you problems... and was shifting hard before it quit shifting you need to clean the valve body and also replace the pressure solenoid and maybe even a couple of the shif sokenoids.. replacing this alone will not fix your problem.. al tho it may work for a couple weeks or a month it will happen again.. i sugest takin it to a trany shop...

    2001 chevy 1500 4.3 ltr
i recently changed fluid and filter in tranny drove hundreds of miles then all of a sudden when i accelerate and goes to kick down gear it falls on its face, engine revs high and truck starts loosing speed code po 300 and 453 keep coming up when this happens. can it be as simple as powertrain control module. FYI all plugs, wires, control module, ignition coil fuel system have all been replaced a year ago so iam ruling those parts out and maybe this will help you.
