Comments about CARQUEST by BWD Throttle Body Injection Tune-Up Kit:

Throttle body wasn't hard to remove. I cleaned it thoroughly after disassemble, be sure to remove all gaskets. Also take note or scribe injectors b4 removal. The instructions were helpful but didn't explain all of parts .on a side note I learned after assembly and install , that the fuel pressure regulator which you replace diaphragm in, is welded over adjusting screw on bottom. You can drill the weld and tighten the screw which will give you higher fuel pressure.

Comments about CARQUEST by BWD Throttle Body Injection Tune-Up Kit:

The kit contains all the wear parts to rebuild your GM TBI. I had a difficult time with the large o-rings that seal the injectors. Somehow one side tore the o-ring twice! There are no burrs or nicks in the TBI casting. I think it is just poor quality material. Otherwise the kit helped restore the TBI to like new condition along with a good cleaning with throttle body spray and a small scrub brush.

Used on a 95 chevy c1500 5.7l, 5 speed manual. This product made the truck run much smoother at idle and while driving. Great product and easy to install.
Also replaced idle air valve at same time.

This kit has everything you need. People that are complaining that it don't have a spring, you really don't need to replace it. Another thing take your time and clean, if you can soak the TBI over night in a carb dip. before putting back together.

I have rebuilt carbs. several of times and this was my first time rebuilding a TBI and was kind of intimidated at first. But I will say that TBI's are easier to rebuild then carbs. This kit had all parts needed minus the spring that everyone is complaining about on their reviews, but there really is no need for a new spring. The instructions I thought were very clear and easy to use. I would seggest using a dip and soak the TBI housing overnight before the rebuild. My truck runs like new agian

i have a 93 chevy van 3/4 ton g20. 5.7 liter motor.same problem changed everything but two things cam or crank sensor and the fuel pump re-lay cumputer tells the the truck when to work but but a rule of thum thatthe last thing to change is the pump. change fuel filter but you changed it . change the relay this part that allows the pump to prime it self before start up then the computer takes over after that the relay only primes the fuel line so the system has the pressure to work if you have to put gas in the tbi and turne the key and the truck runs on its own that tells me thet the fuel and the electric system working. good luck

It is the diaphram for the fuel pressure regulator that sits atop the spring. The 1987 had the fuel pressure regulator integrated into TBI.
