Is the thread 1/2" NPT? Is this sensor the ON/Off type used for cycling an electric cooling fan? If so what are the temp ON and OFF settings?

Hi Marebb, I'm glad to assist you! Yes, this is the thread 1/2 inch NPT. This is not an ON/Off type sensor for cycling an electric cooling fan. It has only 1 setting ON @ 260 F.

      A:

I'm happy to help, Jay. This switch is designed for automotive use in multiple GM vehicles. While it may provide a signal to the gauge, I recommend purchasing a coolant temperature switch designed for your engine by either Beede or another OE replacement designed for marine use.
