Hi Tim, happy to help you! I have researched and found that the wiper relays are located the under hood fuse box. To get more specific information on the location of this part I would recommend purchasing a Chilton or Haynes Repair Manual for your vehicle, not only will it show the location and also explain how to install, but you'll find it handy for many more projects on your vehicle. The exact repair manual part number for your vehicle is 24047.

i have a 2001 GMC Yukon my cruise control does not work. The cruise control light comes on when you set cruise but car does not set speed
Asked on 8/17/2014 by Charlie from Kerhonkson NY

            1 answer

            • CUSTOMER CARE

              A:

I'm happy to help, Charlie! There are multiple reasons that your cruise control could be malfunctioning on your 2001 GMC Yukon. The accessory power relay would not be a failure point for this situation. The first check you may want to make is having the diagnostic trouble codes read to see if the computer will communicate correctly and that their are no codes stored that would cause the cruise control not to activate.

A few other areas to inspect are your brake lamps and clutch switch (if equipped). You may also want to check for proper operation of the transmission range switch. Next, you can check the throttle linkage for mechanical binding, which could cause system malfunction. You'll also want to make sure that the cruise control cable adjustment so that it has minimum slack and ensure that the speed sensor signal circuit is not experiencing any electromagnetic interference.

If you need any assistance diagnosing your vehicle, try our 'Need expert help?' link further down this page.

Yes, the cooling fan relay is same as the air conditioning relay. The air conditioning realy is the multi purpose relay and it serves for cooling fan too. A:

The built-in anti-theft system in your Grand Am is the notorious Pass locks system. It uses a magnetic sensor on the ignition cylinder to present a precision resistance based on the key profile to the Body Control Module.Anti-theft system is controlled by Electronic Timer Alarm Control System. In order to check the exact fit application, please provide the year and engine size of the vehicle.
