Why do you say exact fit when it doesn't fit at all?The other one is the one that is for my 1995 Camaro Z28,but Advance only has this one,and it was wrong.

The BWD Oil Pressure Switch (Gauge) - Part No. S4087P normally works with a BWD Pigtail/Socket - Part No. PT246 connector on a 1995 Chevrolet Camaro Z28. I would recommend that you check this part with the above mentioned connector. For any further assistance please feel free to call us at: 1-877-238-2623 or visit the nearest Advance Auto store and one of our representatives will gladly assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.

    • Q:

1992 S-10: I have switch and tool to install on S10. The original OP Switch is larger than the 1-1/16 and even larger than the 1-3/16. (Both sockets purchased from Advance Auto) What is the size socket needed to remove the original OEM part?
      Thanks

The original Oil Pressure Switch in a 1992 Chevrolet S-10 4 Cylinder 2.5L is 1/4 in. x 18 thread size-NPT. If you have different model(engine size) of this vehicle please provide the details so that we could assist you in a better way. A:

You will have to search for the socket that fits 1 1/16" oil pressure sending unit (gauge type). This is the exact socket that fits Oil pressure switches found on most all '91 and newer GM vehicles. You will have to use it with a 3/8" drive or 1 1/8" hex.

Between the oil filter and the starter on lower front of engine; it may be necessary to remove oil filter and oil filter adapter to gain access to OE switch. The OE switch is larger than the replacement switch but they are interchangeable.

      • A:

Usually on the top of the engine, at one end of the intake manifold. Due to it's odd shape and vertical mounting design, it should stand out from other sensors. Be careful removing and replacing, as it is really easy to break the end off (be mindful of the small threads, rather than the large tool needed to turn it).
