      The ignition control module (BWD Ignition Control Module - Part No. CBE125) on your 1996 Mercury Mystique GS 2.0 is located right on top of the engine. Follow your spark plug wires up to where they all plug in to a small black box often referred to as the ignition coil. The ignition control module is integrated into the coil on this car.
