The front coil was a breeze to change. The back coil was more time consuming. You will need a 5/8 socket with swivel on an extension to remove the plugs

Comments about CARQUEST by BWD Ignition Coil & Module Assembly:

My Cadillac was misfiring and was only running on 6 cyls. Computer Code: P0300; I quickly figured out the coil pack "ignition coil" was the problem. Cadillac wanted $400+ for the part w/a 1 year warranty. Advance had it much cheaper with a Lifetime warranty. Very easy to install on the Deville/DTS. Steps:
        1.Remove Beauty Cover.
2.Unplug electrical connector to ignition coil
3.Remove 8 screws holding ignition coil and remove.
4.Remove and Replace Spark Plug Boots (4) and Spark Plugs with ACDelco plugs.
5.Install BWD ignition coil and reverse steps.
Note: A diag computer can tell you which cyl is misfiring. Front cyl's are even, rear cyl's are odd. Cyl #8 was misfiring for me, which was the front ignition coil.
After install, car is now running Purrfect :-) Thanks Advance !!

Looks and fits just as good as the Cadillac part, but cost much less. I replaced both coil packs on my 11 year old Northstar with these pieces, and have had no problems.

would say this is the same part GM uses, but not the price and that is the reason I bought. replaced at 100,000 mile tune-up time as heat kills these coil packs in city driving. Mileage was bad but now back to normal and engine ran rough in hot weather but runs great in hot weather now.

Is this for the front of the engine, closest to the radiator, and is this side the 2, 4, 6, 8, cylinders? I have a misfire on #8
