  • Difficult To Install

Comments about CARQUEST by BWD Ignition Coil:

To increase spark for a solid ignition during higher rpm
The problem with it is that it does not align with the original bracket this coil is around 3/16" wider.
I would like to return the coil because of this and I have replaced it with 3 others that I purchased from another retailer.

Comments about CARQUEST by BWD Ignition Coil:

Ordered this ignition coil to replace a worn-out factory part, and needed it replaced quickly to get the vehicle back on the road. Matched this part to the vehicle by VIN number AND by manually selecting the Year/Make/Model/Trim. When the part arrived, it did not match up to the mounting bracket. This part is approximately 1/2" wider than the OEM ignition coil. In a pinch, I suppose it may be possible to use in an ABSOLUTE EMERGENCY situation (getting you out of a bad neighborhood or inclement weather), but I take pride in my work and am very particular about fitment and clean installations. Therefore, I had absolutely no use for the part, and had to inform my customer that his vehicle would not be ready for a few more days (the time it took to receive a replacement).
