        A:

Hi Old1, I'm glad to assist you. The BWD Ignition Coil Part #E30 is the "First" or "Premium" line, while the BWD Ignition Coil Part #E30"P" series is the value priced line. Both product lines are good quality and offer good performance. It's hard to give a line by line comparison of the blueprints, but in general the premium line is made to last longer via better materials and manufacturing processes. The Premium line also carries a more comprehensive warranty. The condenser is for noise suppression and should be used if one was present on the original.

    • Q:

what is the prmary resistance and secondary resistance?
Asked on 2/21/2011 by tracy from lynchburg,va

      1 answer

      • CUSTOMER CARE

        A:

The primary winding gets the juice together to make a spark and the secondary sends it out the door to the distributor. Primary resistance should be about 3.2 ohms. A high energy coil may have slightly lower primary resistance. Resistance for the secondary winding will be very high, something like 10,000 ohms. Either one of these windings can go bad and cause your ignition coil to fail.
