The part was used and did not work. At first, the mechanic told me that my cylinders may be bad and caused the misfire but the codes did not support that. I went to a local auto shop and got a brand new coil. Installed it and I have been driving the car ever since without any problems. Very disappointed that I did not return the part and get m money back.

Very pleased with BWD ignition coil for standard 3.0 liter overhead valve engine. I wish all ignition modules were this easy to replace. Solved ignition missfire codes - PO 300 etc. Taurus is running much smoother now.

        Comments about BWD Ignition Coil:

I got this on a hunch. My son's 06 Mercury Sable LS Premium began running really poorly. It would miss-fire at low speeds and idling. We went through the fuel delivery system and vacuum systems on the car and the problem persisted. I ended up purchasing this unit as a replacement part and other than the job leading up to where we could replace it, it was a simple swap. Four screws and the old one was out and the new one was in. First try on restart and we can't remember the last time the car ran ran so smoothly. Great replacement and I got it at a great price on line.

ordered ignition coil online, picked up from my local advance store.....in store staff was quick, helpful item was ready for pick up.

Install took less than 30 minutes (except for having to scrub my hands from my filthy engine bay). Ignition coil fit perfect, and completely solved my mis-fire issue.

I am not a mechanic, but easily completed this replacement...saved myself $100+ in labor charges from my local repair shop.

My 2004 Taurus was diagnosed with bad ignition coil. Changed it and still runs like poop. changed plugs and wires, also idle control valve, and cleaned mass air flow sensor. Diagnosis still comes back as bad ignition coil. Can anything else cause this trouble code? Maybe I got a bad part?

With reference to your inquiry on the BWD Ignition Coil -part# E260, the ignition coil pack may be the possible cause of the problem on your Ford F-150. However, without the presence of the vehicle we could neither diagnose the problem nor provide you with a 100% answer. I would suggest you to get assistance from a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.

                      A:

Sorry, the Ignition Coil does not control fuel pump. It deliver a spark of several thousand volts to the spark plugs at exactly the right time from a 6 or 12-volt battery. The distributor gets the spark to the right place at the right time in what is called the secondary circuit. The primary circuit initially created the large spark, and at the heart of the primary circuit is the ignition coil. We would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.
