Comments about CARQUEST by BWD Ignition Coil:

On two prior occassions, within less than 1000 miles, my mechanic replaced only one BWD ignition coil at a time. After the third instance of misfire, I decided to replace all of the remaining coils. It was an easier procedure to do than I feared. I also replaced all the spark plugs while I was at it, including the two my mechanic did not! By using the discounts, I saved a bundle on the parts! Car is running smoothly now!

      • Q:

I bought 8 of these but was given a mixture of E223 and E223P for my 2004 Lincoln Aviator. Are there any differences between the 2 models except the P on the end? I have them both in my vehicle as the store employee said that they just dropped the P off after a certain time but now I have a check engine light on with misfires whereas the light never came on before I installed these... Was I given the wrong information?

          A:

Hi RXRXR, I could be of help! The fit and function remains the same for both E223 and E223P. The only difference is E223 will be an exact O.E (Original Equipment) replacement while E223P matches the original, designed with the professional installer in mind. P-Series product competes with the OE and dealerships. Meanwhile, without the presence of your vehicle I would not be able to properly diagnose it nor provide you with a 100% answer. I would suggest that you take your vehicle to a certified mechanic for further diagnosis.

          A:

Yes, you can replace the Ignition coils easily. You can take the plastic crowls off by the wipers, top and bottom and the coil pack, then you can reach in with a ratchet and your hand. For any further assistance, please call us toll free at: 1-877-ADVANCE (238-2623) and one of our representative would be glad to assist you further.
