Q:I have a 90 cherokee laredo straight 6 and was wondering if this could be the fix to my problem. It was running fine, when all of a sudden it started sputtering like it was out of fuel and then died. It has half a tank of fuel so that is not it. I managed to get it into a parking lot by tapping the gas, when I press the gas pedal it acts like its choking itself out, when I let up on the gas it idles up and takes off. but if let sit long enough it chokes and dies. I recently replaced the crank sensor, fuel pump, egr valve, plugs & wires. I'm out of ideas and i'm looking for an easy way to diagnose what part is wrong without replacing each sensor and injector. any help would be greatly appreciated
A:Possibly, but with out the presence of your vehicle we would not be able to properly diagnose it. We would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis.
A:Try checking the fuel pressure in the fuel rail. Also check the fuel filter, sounds like your net getting enough fuel.
Q:is a new gasket required for this part to be installed?
A:I would recommend it.
