Comments about BWD Blower Motor Resistor:

I WAS ABLE TO TAKE OUT THE OLD BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR AND REPLACE IT WITH THE NEW BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR IN A VERY SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME. ALL I NEEDED WAS A SCREWDRIVER. THIS BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR WAS VERY EASY TO INSTALL. THERE WAS NO MECHANIC NEEDED. THIS PART FIT PERFECTLY IN MY 2001 DODGE RAM, 1500, 4X4, EXTENDED CAB TRUCK. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. IT DOES THE JOB. I ALSO REPLACED THE BLOWER MOTOR AND THE HEATER CORE DURING THIS PROCESS OF GETTING MY HEAT WORKING IN THE TRUCK AGAIN.

Comments about BWD Blower Motor Resistor:

the blower motor only worked on high bought the resistor. My book doesn't show where it goes so looked found it. Not the easiest to get to but the new one went in the same as the original. The fitment was exact just like the product said. The blower works in all speeds. the location of the resistor is bad engineering wise. Mine had signs of moister and that was most likely the problem leading to the failure.I truely hope the bwd is built to resist the engineering flaws or else I feel it will just get moist and go bad as well.

Yes, I changed the Blower Motor Resistor, but the motor does not run. I checked all the fuses. Could the control switch be bad. The fan use to only work on high speed, but it doesn't work at all now.

This part is just to the left of the blower motor, it is very hard to see. Use a mirror or feel around for it. Its located in the heater box held in by two phillips screws. You know it is bad if you only have the high or just lower fan speeds. Check the fuse first. My mechanic wanted 150.00 to replace i did it for the price of the part from advanced auto parts took 15 min. after i found it. Blower moter is on the passanger side.
