Comments about BWD Blower Motor Resistor:

My name is Hoffa from AskHoffa and this product was perfect. The website order pick up in local store feature was simple, easy and a good price with a coupon code. Win win I say, The piece installed into the 2001 ford focus in about 5 minutes. A small hand would help as their is 1 screw that is used to hold in place. You will have no problem doing this project, just pop out the glove box itmes, lower the glove box with the 2 squeez tabs, and look to the left behond the glove box on the forewall. you will see the piece, with 1 screw onthe bottom. Unplug connector and remove screw take out old piece and then do the same steps in reverse. Good Luck, great aftermarket piece and more than half the dealer cost. do it yourself with a flashlight and screw driver, good luck. Hoffa

The blower motor resistor could possibly be the problem. However, without the presence of your vehicle we would not be able to properly diagnose it nor provide you with a 100% answer. We would suggest that you take your vehicle to a certified mechanic for further diagnosis. For further assistance, please feel free to call us at 1-877-238-2623 or visit your nearest Advance Auto Parts store and one of our representatives would be more than happy to assist you.

This should be behind your glove box and on the box that contains the majority of the A/C components like the blend doors and such.

The resistor should be located on the duct work under the dash. Sitting in the passenger seat facing forward it is to the left of the blower motor mounted on the duct work firewall.
