Comments about CARQUEST by BWD Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve:

This product fails every 6 months, it gets stuck open and causes my car to stall. Then I have a hard time getting the stores to locate me another. They don't understand that I need to drive my car there to get it, but they want to broken one first.

Comments about CARQUEST by BWD Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve:

This thing was great. It fit my Camaro perfectly and it stopped the car from hesitating and stuttering. As far as quality goes, this EGR valve seemed pretty heavy duty and actually appeared to make a better seal than the one that was previously put on there. I have had it on for almost a month now and I can just feel the difference in the car's response to the gas. If you are having trouble with your EGR valve and Advanced Auto says this one fits... This is the one for you. It will make your problems go away.

I was told that EGR valves don't normally go bad. Mine was stuck open and would not seat off when needed. This new one cleared the check engine light.

You usually have to take this apartment and clean it out with a cleaning substance such as brake clean and put it back together

                    A:

The EGR Valve Location is typically housed on the intake manifold. The location depends on the vehicle. For a better idea of where the EGR valve is on your vehicle I recommend contacting your local Advance Auto Parts store and speaking with a representative there. If all else fails, you can search for the location on the internet.
