Comments about CARQUEST by BWD Crankshaft Sensor:

2000 Dodge Dakota was running rough and coded
timming misfire, so I only had 100,000 miles on truck, figured it wasn't timing chain so I installed sensor. Runs perfect now.

    • Q:

Can you please tell me where the crankshaft sensor is located on a 2003 Durango SXT, 5.9L, 2 Wheel Drive.

Also, according to the code that we were able to pull based on the diagnostics test, it states that is the "CAMSHAFT" sensor, not the crankshaft sensor. Is there a "CAMSHAFT" sensor on a 2003 Durango? I have research and looked but I am unable to come up or find a "CAMSHAFT" sensor.

Any assistance and or clarification is very much appreciated.

        A:

The crankshaft sensor should be on the right side down low on the block almost to the transmission bell housing. It is up close to the right exhaust collector.
The camshaft sensor should be in the distributor if I am not mistaken
