    Have a 1995 mustang gts with the 5.0L v8. Have a broken/missing hose from the canister purge solenoid. where on the engine is it supposed to lead. Can't find where it supposed to go. Pictures, diagrams?

      A:

      The canister purge solenoid should be connected inline to the black box on the passenger side fender next to the radiator on your 1995 Ford Mustang GTS.

      A:

      It is in the emissions system to keep gas fumes from venting into the atmosphere. If it is bad then causing the vehicle to fail the emissions test, pressure builds up in the emissions systems causing the gaskets to blow open and damaged gaskets will leak oil or, at worst, spray oil out onto the engine and engine compartment.
