Comments about CARQUEST by BWD Blower Motor Resistor:

Super easy to replace, but hard to see. It was located behind the glovebox on my car. I had to flip upside down, legs and feet over the passenger seat, and my head under the dash. The actual replacement is very simple for this part. It was easy to see the old part had blown.
The difficult part of the repair was the replacement of the blower motor. Often, the resistor fails because of a failing blower pulling too many amps. I replaced both parts since I did not want to risk blowing a new resistor. The complete job (blower and resistor) took me just over an hour.

Comments about CARQUEST by BWD Blower Motor Resistor:

I knew mine went bad when I lost all speeds except the high speed, which bypasses the resistor all together. I went to replace the resistor, and when I saw how burnt it was, I decided to inspect the blower motor. Good thing I did, as I removed the blower motor, it would barely turn by hand. The motor was going bad and drew too much current through the resistor, burning it up. I replaced the blower motor with one from this site too, and now it blows air like new...all four speeds! :D
