R-Pack and computer melted together. I have replaced the switch fan blower motor and the R-Pack this time. We aill see if the quality is good in 6 months to a year.

Used this in 02 Durango to resolve no blower motor issue. A bit difficult to see under the dash but a quick and cheap fix.

Comments about CARQUEST by BWD Blower Motor Resistor:

My son installed this on the Dakota himself and it was fairly easy. A plastic duct had to be removed to gain access to the two 5/16 inch screws that held it in place. After breaking the tabs it easily went into position. This fixed the problem and now all blower sppeds work instead of just high. Just have to see how long it lasts.

                • CUSTOMER CARE

                  A:

First check whether there is power to the blower motor, as well as ground when the switch is on. It could be the blower motor is bad, but you will also want to check the resistor and the relay. First disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable. Then remove the kick cover from the heater-A/C housing and unplug the wire harness connector from the blower motor resistor. Check for continuity between each of the blower motor switch input terminals of the resistor and the resistor output terminal. In each case there should be continuity If OK, repair the wire harness circuits between the blower motor switch and the blower motor resistor or blower motor relay as required. If not OK, replace the faulty blower motor resistor. Next remove the relay from its connector and check whether its working or not, if not OK then replace the faulty relay.

I believe it is on the passenger side underneath the glove box area more toward the middle of the truck. It is held in by two screws. Unbolt those and it pulls right out.
