Comments about Briggs & Stratton 5-Gallon Diesel Can:

This is, without a doubt, the worst fuel/gas can I have ever used. The spout was difficult to use AND it flew apart when trying to use on the third time (literally, flew apart). I called the local Advance Auto store where I purchased it and they said they couldn't exchange it. Just a poorly made and designed product. Won't be going back to Advance Auto. By the way, if I could get away with it, I would NOT have given it one star. It is that bad.

Comments about Briggs & Stratton 5-Gallon Diesel Can:

After reading some of the previous reviews I had low expectations, but after using this can for several fillings I must say that I've been very pleased. I had no problem whatsoever using the nozzle (no leaks) and found that the built in hook engaged perfectly with the filler neck on my truck. As a result the fuel dispensed easily once the nozzle was depressed, which for the most part only required the weight of the fuel + container. (Maybe it does take a while and chugs a little because of the absence of a secondary vent, but I don't find this to be a very big deal.)

I also like the shape (small footprint) which just seems easier to handle than shorter and wider cans, but I guess that's mostly a matter of personal preference.

Comments about Briggs & Stratton 5-Gallon Diesel Can:

The spout while it said it was easy to operate was actually the most complicated design I've encountered in my life. Still not sure if I used it in the manner intended by the manufacturer, but it works quite well for the purpose intended, carrying diesel fuel!

Comments about Briggs & Stratton 5-Gallon Diesel Can:

The new style nozzle almost guarantees that gas/diesel will get on you...I thought the point of the micro-managing CAFE rules are to help...never mind. Anyway, if you can, wait till the next best thing in nozzles comes out. I want to say it can't get any worse, but look what they just did.

First trip to the gas station.... The larger diesel spout at the pump was too large for the fill hole on the gas can. A funnel is recommended.

Product purchased specifically due to pictured nozzle since others with the Dumb CARB Nozzle (which does not work) were availble locally at a much lower price.

Comments about Briggs & Stratton 5-Gallon Diesel Can:

Go read [@] reviews before buying this, I wish I did.My old diesel can works fine, but I wanted more so I have to fill up less often. This one has a nozzle that is hard to use and which cannot be removed during storage, so it takes a lot of space and is at risk of nozzle damage it if falls over. [@] reviewers say it leaks, mine has not yet, but I have no doubt it will.
