    How to remove the alternator and belt

      For step by step instructions i highly recommend you that you go to your nearest Advance Auto Parts store to purchase a repair manual.

      There should be only a few bolts holding the alternator on the bracket attached to the engine. Once those bolts are removed, and the alternator is loose, you should be able to move it enough to take the belt off.
