I love these plugs, I kept having truble with my check engine light coming on wiht a cylender 3 misfire, Well cheched all the plugs they were fine except that one. It was cracked(I did have the boch +2 plug's and they lasted me 8 years in the same car i put these in) So now the i got the +4's in my car i wondering how long that they will last me since my last ones lasted me 8 years!!! I know that sounds weird not changing them sooner, but they were running perfect. I was still getting awesome gas millage and everything! So i replaced my plugs and plugwires and now i got nothing to worry about. I'm gonna post a pic of the Bosch +2 plugs i had for 8 years in my car It's going to show the bad one i had and a pic of a good that pretty much shows how the others looked when changed out the +2's with the Bosch platinum +4 ones!!!

I bought these for my 2001 Mustang GT. I thought that they would be good plugs, because this is what I use in my 2000 Toyota Tacoma. The ALWAYS done GREAT in my Tacoma. When I put them in my Mustang it cause the care to misfire while driving it. I could only notice it at cruising speed. I didn't notice any misfire during idle or at acceleration. I guess these plugs are only made for imported vehicles. I wouldn't recommend putting Bosch Platinum+4 spark plugs in an American vehicle. I will keep putting them in my Tacoma, but I won't ever put anymore in my Mustang. I will only use Motorcraft in my Mustang for now on!

I Put a set of these in my 1998 Z28 with the LS1 V8. It could be my imagination, but it did seem to idle more smoothly. They lasted 110K before I replaced them. The center electrodes had eroded a bit, but I did not notice any drop in performance during that time. I only replaced them because I knew they were overdue. I would definitely recommend these for this vehicle.

Comments about Bosch Platinum+4 Spark Plug:

I drive a limo/car service in the New York City area. Average 100,000 miles a year on LincolnTown Cars. I have a habit of replacing plugs every 100K miles. Well, one year I forgot to check my maintenance records. . The car started to idle very low and sometimes it stalled while engaging the reverse gear. This was the only noticeable problem. I looked at my records and realized I had over 190K miles with these plugs. Oops! Time went flying since my last plugs where changed. Installed new Platinum+4 again and problem solved. So I ended up driving 192K miles in 23 months before I noticed my oversight. Car spoke for itself. Other than that, I can't notice any other advantages. They definately last.

I'm sure these are fine for their designed use in some German cars, but the Bosch +4 Platinum spark plugs caused misfires in Buick 3.8L engine within 3 days of installation. Replaced them with AC Delco Iridiums (OEM) and car runs perfectly.

These plugs are awesome,I boght the Bosch Platinum+2 way back in 2005, for my 96 bird, I replaced them this year because I kept getting a cyc4 misfire, This product does the same thing, But i think it's because of where the plug is at. My car can sit still it rain, i start the car and get cyc4 misfire. BUT i don't blame this product, I'm going to purchase plastic covers for these Bosch+4 But the Bosch Platinum+2 are awesome as well, they lasted almost 10 years would have lasted longet if my cyc 4 plug didnt crack!

Have F-150 4.6L, changed OE plugs at 140,000 miles installed Bosch Platinum plugs. After 40,000 miles pulled the Bosch plugs to check on them. The carbon pattern builds un-uniformly creating a bridge to the electrode -- unlike the OE Platinum that builds uniformly. Going back to OE plugs.

For domestics, chevy use ACDelco or Autolite Double Platnium. Dodge-- use Champion (any style). Ford-- Use motorcraft only. Toyota, Honda, Mazda use NGK.

NO. The "+4" indicates that there are four posts for the spark to jump from the center electrode to the "ground". Four places to spark instead of just one.
