      A:

The Nissan Frontier 2001 with a 2.4L engine has two O2 sensors before the cat and one after the cat. You might need an O2 sensor removal tool to remove and install the sensor. The Lisle Pneumatic Oxygen Sensor Remover (Part No. LIS43900) is a helpful tool. You can use this set with an air hammer to remove stubborn, baked-on oxygen sensors. Please check this video link which would be helpful for this project: http://video.advanceautoparts.com/v/27755/oxygen-sensor-replacement-sensors-ngk/. A:

The pre-converter oxygen sensor should be located in the exhaust manifold ahead of the catalytic converter. The post-converter oxygen sensor should be located in the exhaust pipe after the catalytic converter. Instructions: Let the exhaust system cool. Raise and secure the vehicle. Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor. Using a suitable wrench or special oxygen sensor socket, unscrew the sensor from the exhaust manifold or exhaust pipe. Use some anti-seize compound on the threads of the sensor so that you can easily change them in the future. Install the sensor and tighten. Reconnect the electrical connector for the sensor and lower the vehicle.
