        Comments about Bosch Oxygen Sensor:

I BOUGHT THIS OXYGEN SENSOR TO GO ON MY 2004 PONTIAC VIBE. THIS WAS THE NUMBER 1 SENSOR THAT WAS SHOWING BAD WHEN TESTED.IT IS LOCATED ON THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD.THIS SENSOR WAS THE PERFECT FIT. THE WIRE END PLUGGED UP PERFECTLY AND ALSO SCREWED IN THE MANIFOLD GREAT.IT HAS ANTISEIZE ALREADY ON THE THREADS WHICH IS VERY HELPFULL TO KEEP IT FROM LOCKING UP NEXT TIME YOU NEED TO REMOVE IT.COULD NOT VISIALY SEE ANYTHING WRONG WITH OLD ONE WHEN REMOVED,BUT INSTALLING THE NEW OXYGEN SENSOR THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT DID GO OFF AND REMAINED OFF. THIS SENSOR IS ALSO KNOWN AS THE UP STREAM OXYGEN SENSOR.GREAT PRODUCT!

          • Q:

My check engine light came on, and I was told that the O2 Sensor needs to be replaced. How do I know if it is the one before or after the catalytic converter.

              A:

The fault code that is causing your "check engine" light should specify which O2 sensor you need.

            • A:

First of all you need to know is it upstream or downstream sensor. Then its quit easy to replace. Just unplug, unwrap sensor and put new one. Upstream sensor will be just near to engine, before catalytic converter. Downstream after the catalytic converter.

Most good dianostic machine will give a code that can be read by the manufacture. I just did a 2004 Corolla and told me front bank.
