I actually installed two oxygen sensors in my 6 cyl Toyota. One was on the backside manifold near the firewall and difficult to get to, but installed in about 1-1/2 hours. The other was on the front manifold and installed in about ten minutes.

My garage wanted $375 to furnish and install the back sensor. With Advance Auto discount, I installed each sensor for a fraction of this. I bought a special inexpensive socket to remove and install the back sensor. Very pleased with the hook up. Already increasing gas mileage by 4 miles per gallon.

Chatted with an agent and also verified with the CSA at the store that the part would fit. I got it back home. Went to replace the upstream O2 sensor an the length of the wires was short by about 5 inches.
This will not fit a 2004 Toyota Camry XLE (as stated by the website, online agent, and in store associate).
Also, when they tell you to try the universal one- DON'T DO IT!!! It fits and the ease of use is fine, but it will throw your check engine light. Just spend the extra money and buy the OEM one. Don't waste your time. Then you won't have to go through the mess that this situation is putting me in!

    Comments about Bosch Oxygen Sensor:

I had the check engine light on my dash and diagnosed it as code p0155 and sensor bank2 sensor1 defective.

Used this part to fix the issue. now it has been a month and the part seems to have fixed the issue permanently.

As noted above. It did not clear the O2 fault. When I returned it,Iwas told if I reordered it,I would have to keep it,even if it did not do the job. I would not go back for another even though I would try another brand, possibly the OEM original

Listed for non-California, car clearly states FED & Canada but it had the wrong connector configuation. Due to time & money, I switched the connector by backing out the pins. Works fine. Never had this problem before, generally a great product.

I have a 2004 Toyota Solara V6. I am getting an error code, bank 2 sensor 1. I am almost certain this means an upstream sensor. Several of the answers above say this will work with an upstream sensor, however, the description says downstream. Which one is it? Will this work with my upstream sensor?

I'm happy to help, JB! You are correct that Bank 2 Sensor 1 is a upstream oxygen sensor. This Bosch Premium Oxygen Sensor (Part No. 13355) is the downstream oxygen sensor on the 2004 Toyota Solara 3.3L V6. The sensor could be used in different locations on different vehicles.

The correct replacement oxygen sensor for your vehicle is Denso Air Fuel Sensor - Direct Fit (Part No. 234-9057) or NTK Oxygen Sensor (Part No. 24663). These are indicated to fit in the upstream position in the rear bank. The rear bank is the side closest to the vehicle cabin. This bank is where cylinder 1 is located on your vehicle.
