Worked Great!

By Tmast

from Austin, Texas

Comments about Bondo Epoxy Bumper Repair Syringe Kit, 0.4 fl oz:

Had a 1 inch crack at the bottom of a bumper cover, sanded the inside very rough, cleaned with isopropyl alcohol, then layered the compound and mesh a few times. This was on the inside of the bumper cover.

Doesn't harden

By PADave

from Phila, PA

Comments about Bondo Epoxy Bumper Repair Syringe Kit, 0.4 fl oz:

Doesn't work at all. Just stays like gel, it says harden time is 15 minutes, I've been out there over an hour! Crazy glue is a better bet I suppose, though I'm not sure that holds up at 60mph. Anyway, this stuff is impractical, unless you can somehow clamp you bumper together or something. Otherwise look for something else, this stuff won't bind two parts together.

I came on this product accidentally after calling an array of body shops only to find that many or almost all after I described my bumper damage offered a solution to just replace it.

A fan may help it dry but otherwise it is better to just let it dry on its onw.

I backed out and scraped a curb and the front bumper of car came loose, the first time it snapped into place but now it keeps coming undone, will this product glue it in place so that it will stop coming out or do I need something else.

No. If you use the patch it will be enough to adhere the patch ... but you will need the 16oz can of bondo fill or puddy to fill in.

It depends on how big the repair is and the size of the hole or scratch that needs to be repaired. However this is a very good product.

                A:

Yes this product will work for simple scrapes, this product is a filler and once the scratch is filled in then you would need to match a color for bumper to be either sprayed on or use a scratch color kit. For other product recommendations to go with this please give us a call at 1-877-ADVANCE (238-2623) where one of our agents would be happy to assist you.

I have my back bumper off a 2000 Honda Odyssey and boy it is a lot bigger in my house than I expected. I have a tear about a foot and a half long due to an accident in which the person took off and my son and wife were to confused to catch the culprit. Anyway, it took half a kit I had left over and another to make the repair from inside the bumper. I am currently letting it cure. I still expect to fill the top in with some additional substance and am looking on-line for such a filler. I will have to reply back if I get a chance and let you know how the repair went. I need a product like this in bulk to pass my up and comming inspection. The first half was used on the front bumper without the neting and it did not hold. So I will have to get additional kits to tackle the front bumper once more. I think with practice it should work as expected. To pass inspection for PA the vehical cannot have any sharp edges. I hope this helps.
