Comments about Beck/Arnley Transmission Filter Kit:

This was listed as fitting a 2008 Kia Sportage...however that vehicle does not even HAVE a serviceable transmission filter. Now I wasted a bunch of time and have to waste EVEN MORE time to return this product because this website is incorrect.

      Thanks Advance!

2008 Kia Rondo! I took my transmission oil pan off myself (it was extremely hard to get to) only to find that the filter is internal and can not be changed unless breaking down the entire transmission. I put every thing back together and the gasket was correct but I was not able to change the filter.

Comments about Beck/Arnley Transmission Filter Kit:

After purchasing in store, i realized this was not the correct filter for the 2006 spectre ex i was working on...upon return the customer service was nice and discovered that the 2006 i was working on required the filter listed for the 2007...somewhere a wire was crossed. the one I had was held on by three bolts. and the pan was not square shaped. If this is the one you have then try the 2007.

Comments about Beck/Arnley Transmission Filter Kit:

These vehicles do not have an OEM transmission fluid filter. Change fluid at 70,000 miles, then every 30,000 miles. You may want to remove the fluid pan and wipe it good, then you'll need a new gasket when re-intalling the pan. For normal use, changing the fluid is enough. 2003 Santa Fe, 175,000 miles.

Since this filter is listed as used on 2006 Kia Sedona, It would not fit.Dealer's service says the Kia Sedona does not have a transmission filter. Recommended to check oil level for 100,000 miles. then drain and refill every 30 000 there after.

                      A:

I'm happy to help, Celo! The 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe does require that the transmission be removed and disassembled to replace the internal transmission filter. You can find this information in the Product Application(s) heading under the Description tab. Some models did have a provision for a spin-on filter.

When you are looking for vehicle parts, make sure to provide your vehicle's submodel (SE, Limited, etc.) and engine size to ensure proper fitment information is provided.

For details of how to do the job I recommend a repair manual, Haynes Part No. 43050. There is some additional information I was able to locate as well, this information is not provided by Advance Auto Parts and is provided as use at your own risk: http://www.hyundai-forums.com/187-cm-2007-2012-santa-fe/101925-2008-santa-fe-4spd-drain-bolt.html

My 2007 sonata limited has no oil pan, only a drain plug. There is a vertical pan facing the radiator where the fill tube is attached, but houses what appeas to be a control block. No room to even remove pan unless you remove engine. Where else might it go?

I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis and assistance before installing the transmission filter kit on your vehicle to avoid intermittance.

check with the dealer, Most likely there is no filter and this is an Advance auto mistake. Advance auto says this filter fits Sedona and dealrt states, as does the owners manual. there is not a filter in the transmission.
