I have a 2003 audi a4 1.8t amb motor code I am having issues with odb2 communication with scanners could this be due to a bad relay or blown fuse issue not sure where else to check but have tested all fuses and no luck.... thanks for any help!

      A:

Hello, Just Mitch! Depends what the specific issue is? Does the scanner power up? On any OBD2 vehicle pin 16 is power, pins 4&5 are ground. Once those are verified, the diagnosis would require vehicle specific information from the shop manual.

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

I'm happy to help, David L NYS! It is considered normal operation for the electric coolant fans run for up to 15 minutes after the ignition is switched off in gasoline engine applications, up to 16 minutes in diesel engine applications. No replacement required for this reason.

2001 VOLKSWAGEN BUG 2.0 WHERE IS THE FUEL PUMP RELAY LOCATED?
Asked on 1/29/2013 by T from United States

    1 answer

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

With reference to your inquiry on the Beck/Arnley Relay - part# 203-0044, on your Volkswagen Beetle, unless added an aftermarket electric fuel pump, you don't have a fuel pump relay. You should only have the Fuel Injection Pump under the hood, which is electronic, but driven by the engine. For any further assistance, please visit your nearest Advance Auto store or call us directly at 1-877-ADVANCE (238-2623) and one of our representatives there would be more than happy to assist you.

where is this relay located on the 2001 vw jetta wolfsburg edition?

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

Generally, the horn relay may be located inside the fuse box under the hood, integrated into a larger electrical box or is a separate unit. If the horn relay is not easily located, follow the wiring back from the horn to find the relay or refer to a vehicle-specific manual.
