This might fit the cheap aftermarket pcv valves such as the fram one I compared, but the fram one is narrower with less air flow. In fact if you try to put it in your stock grommet it'll be too much for it and you'll end up breaking it.
That being said, even though the fram pcv valve is thicker, the pcv is narrower and the fram grommet has a smaller opening diameter than the oem grommet for the oem pcv. Part # for oem grommet is E30113338A.
1 star for fitment, though quality seems decent; there's a label that says made in japan.
This is my observation on a 1st gen mazda protege 1.8 sohc

Seemed to be a decent quality grommet, and went into the valve cover nicely; however, the opening for the PCV valve was too small. This was listed as a "Perfect" fit for my '91 Miata, which is not accurate. 2 stars for quality, 0 stars for fit.
