      I bought this for my 98 bmw e36 because it is a common problem for the tumbler to go out. I looked up the tumbler specifically by the car itself. By doing this, I was sure to replace in no time. When I took it out of its packaging, I immediately knew this wasn't the correct part. First off, the tumbler had a lever coming from it when BMW's doesn't, secondly there was no information on the product inside the box or the packing list, nor did I get a receipt like other companies would have sent, but that didn't bother me. Overall, I wouldn't choose a product that comes from Beck/Arnly through Advanced Auto parts but I will be ordering again due to great customer service.

          Kindly follow the instruction to install this Beck/Arnley Ignition Key And Tumbler - Part No. 201-1764 on your 2006 Pontiac Torrent. Locate the hole underneath the ignition key lock tumbler assembly. It will be directly under the lock and on the underside of the steering column. Slide the pin punch into the hole under the ignition lock, and push up on the ignition key lock as far as you can. This will activate the release pin inside the steering column. Put the key into the ignition, and turn the key to the "II" position. Pull the ignition key lock tumbler assembly out of the steering column, and pull the pin punch out of the steering column. Insert the new key into the new ignition key lock tumbler assembly, and turn the key to the "II" position on the lock. Slide the ignition key lock tumbler into the steering column until it locks into the column housing, and turn the key to the "Off" position. Then remove the key.
